If you have a question about The Big Give and/or Scene & Heard, you might find the answer here.
What is The Big Give Christmas Challenge?
The Christmas Challenge gives charities the opportunity to match donations made to their organisation by their supporters. Over the past two years the Christmas Challenge has raised over £18m for hundreds of charities.
What are the important dates?
The December Christmas Challenge Week will run from 5th-9th December 2011. The Big Give Christmas Challenge will launch at 10am on December 5th. There is a limited amount of matched funding available each day of the challenge, so we are hoping you will be ready and raring to donate from 10am on Monday 5th to be in with the best chance of doubling your donation.
How is my donation "doubled"?
The Big Give Challenge matches donations from the public with money from private sponsors, effectively doubling whatever you give. Matched funding comes thanks to our sponsors and also the Reed Foundation, who fund the national Big Give campaign. All donations can also be gift aided which makes your donation go even further.
I am trying to donate but the Big Give website is down
There has been a lot of work by a large number of charities in promoting the Big Give - and the sudden demand when the Big Give opened at 10am was more than the website could cope with. The Big Give runs all week and the matching funds have been allocated to spread over the week, so if you can't get on straight away, go back later on and try again. But do please go back.
How do I make a donation?
From 10am on Monday December 5th you can donate to Scene & Heard by visiting the Big Give website and donating. The link to our Big Give page is http://tinyurl.com/SandHBigGive
Do I have to make my donation online?
The only donations that the Big Give Christmas Challenge will double are those made online through the Big Give website during the 5 days of the challenge. Unfortunately no other donations can be doubled.
How much are Scene & Heard hoping to raise?
Our goal is to raise £20,000 – more than enough to fund next autumn’s Playmaking One course.
If I want to encourage my contacts to donate, where should I point them to?
You can point them to the Scene & Heard Big Give donation page, which is http://tinyurl.com/SandHBigGive.
